After 3-and-a-half long and unfortunately unfruitful years, Lincoln-based prog band Fistful of Sound have decided to put an end to speculation regarding their imminent break up... by breaking up. The decision among the members is mutual, and there will be no pointing of fingers, no naming of names, other than stating, for the record, that "Kev started it".
In all seriousness though, we'd like to give massive thanks to everyone who supported us through the years, to the Marquis of Granby for giving us our very first gig, to the Tiny Purple Fishes for the inspiration, to Avenged Sevenfold for getting us into prog via Dream Theater, and all of our parents for putting up with us. To all of our friends for making sure we looked popular at gigs, and to anyone we've forgotten. Thank you so much.
We just want to explain that we've decided to call it a day to concentrate on our education, our fast food/convenience store-based occupations, and our other, more creatively free-flowing musical projects. Again, thanks, and we'd also like to wish each other the best of luck with our future projects, and offer non homo-erotic brotherly love to one another. Ta.
Nathe, $pence, James and Kev.
R.I.P. Callum Howell - only Nathe really knew Callum personally, however we would all like to express our condolences to his family, to MCD and to the rest of Callum's friends.
PLEASE NOTE: We may be on a hiatus period but this DOES NOT mean that our myspace page is a free advertising space! Any poster comment WILL be deleted, thankyou

tis a shame about the split! i wish i had chance to meet you guys! one day i wished that i could just say hi or something but i would be far to embarrassed, .....err is this the secret backstreet boys myspace?? ...........if not then forget all i said and never read this again,
Its a massive shame youve split up - I loved you guys!!!
Thanks for all the gigs youve played for me and with me and whatever band I was in at the time, lol.
I'll try and make sure your other projects get the same amout of attention as I gave you - and I expect a re-union one off show played exclusivly for InterGenre some time in the distant future or you're all in trouble!!!
(Shame, I never actually got to sleep with any of you, but theres still time ......)
Great to hear you play for the first time ever! You have got quite a fresh, unique sound (to me) and I enjoyed the gig immensely. Start recording now for crying out loud!!!!
