Sounds Like
An unholy cross between Elvis Costello, The Foggy Mountain Boys, Tom Waits, Engelbert Humperdinck and Wayne's old music teacher who you never heard, but trust me, who has to take a lot of the blame here.
Fit and the Conniptions is a combined band / webcomic project by London based singer songwriter Wayne Myers. An album, Bless Your Heart, was released in July 2007, followed by a live acoustic EP, Live At Monkey Chews, in November 2008. Wayne is currently working on the second album, which he hopes to release in 2009.
Wayne has been bashing his head against the brick wall of eclecticism since 1971, though it took a good thirteen or fourteen years until he actually started picking up a guitar and writing what he euphemistically refers to as 'songs'. Stylistically parked squarely in the middle of blues, folk and jazz without actually being any of those things, the tunes deal with Wayne's favourite themes of love, loss and computer games, though it might take a closer reading of some of the texts than is normally reasonable to really justify the latter.
Wayne has been fortunate enough to have played with some excellent live guest Conniptions since the beginning of this project including the following:
