Just listing a slew of favorite bands that we might also sound like or have been influenced by - in some cases, comparisons were made in reviews to bands we never really heard, so we made it our business to go out and hear them and try to be retroactively influenced:
Television, Richard Thompson, Slovenly, Sonic Youth, MX-80 Sound, Yo La Tengo, Bob Dylan, Brian Eno, Celibate Rifles, Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Verlaines, The Sneaky Feelings, Richard Hell and the Voidoids, Versus, Martin Newell, Live Skull, The Wedding Present, The Velvet Underground...

Putting some info in this Sounds Like box - I suppose we could legitimately list any band whose songs we've ever covered, since we were sounding like them for a few minutes at least - how about The Go-Betweens, The Divine Horsemen, The Cleaners from Venus, The Stone Poneys, The Verlaines, The Velvet Underground, The Fugs, Brian Eno, Versus, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fred Neil
Formed around 1987 or so, the lineup for 95% of the band's history has been Bob Bannister, guitar, singing, Don Eklund, guitar, David Reddy, bass, Robert Dennis, drums, singing.
We released singles on the Ajax, Matador and Walt Records labels, a vinyl LP on Behemoth, a CD on Brinkmann and at least one compilation track on Homestead - all between 1990-94 - can't remember anything else.
Recently completed: a 3rd full-length which we are proud to say was recorded and mixed using big, fat tape. Analog, represent!
