My name is Darla Benfield! I have worked in the fitness
industry and body work field for over 20 years and hold degrees in Biological/Life Sciences, International Certifications, and Licensed Certified Massage Therapy. My qualifications are vast and enable me to assist you with specific health related goals. I do not believe or teach the "one-size-fits all" generic fitness program, as I cater and design fitness/nutrition plans specific to YOU. Each sesssion is specific to the program that has been designed for you taking into consideration your genetic makeup and medical concerns.
In addition to my personal training qualifications, I have life experience which is an important compliment to training women,men,and youth, and further provides the understanding and sensitivity to women's physical changes throughout their life. I have dedicated my business specifically to assist women & couples in being the best they can be, and adapt a fit lifestyle at any age. My home based studio provides a comfortable environment to achieve this goal.
I am sensitive to body image issues working in this field for many years, and I provide a comfortable, motivational environment conducive to getting healthy and staying healthy for everyone. My dedication to the bodywork field for over 20 years is not by accident following my passion and making the best decision of my life to help people improve the quality of their life as a fitness trainer and utilizing the knowledge obtained through massage therapy licensure. I keep my education updated with continuing classes in the field that add to my tool box of techniques that are passed down to you during your fitness session. Do not expect the “norm” when working with me as I implement what is necessary to keep your program progessive, fresh, challenging and enjoyable. Life is too short to not put your health first, and it is never too late to get healthy and stay healthy!!!!
Making this decision to improve the quality of your life, I look forward to the opportunity to be involved in your self care and ME time which is so important to beginning your road to getting healthy. Your first fitness session will be a consultation with me as we sit down together and discuss goals and set the theme for the program that will work best for you. I provide an environment for you that is comfortable, motivating, and will enable you to feel at ease whether a “newbie” or established exerciser.
My belief system is to focus on what you need and making the MOST of the time that you have purchased. As a body worker, I see a BODY as a BODY, and knowing all bodies come in different wonderful packages, body image is not an issue in my fitness studio. I am here to help you get healthy and together develop a specific program that best meets your fitness needs and enables you to adapt a healthy lifestyle for LIFE!
