Peter Bauer and Roger Bürke first worked together on a 1991 soundtrack for the award-winning short film "One". This led to many follow-on releases in the genre electronic music.
In 1995 the duo were joined by English DJ, Tim Sharp. The highpoint of this cooperation was the "Electroworld" project in 1996/97 which was released on the Edel/Clubtools label and achieved good positions in the German DJ-charts.
Following that they had the feeling that they were moving along well-trodden paths and so they decided to produce only original and non run-of-the-mill music. In 1999, together with singer Petra Straue, they founded the project, Five Arms Red.
Out of this came the first pieces with Tim Sharp in the role of narrator. Amongst these was "Smoke" which was inspired by Paul Auster's screen-play of the film of the same name.
In the summer of 2000 Tim Sharp left the project and was replaced by Stephan Charisius, who is, additionally, a marvellous player of the African harp-like instrument, the kora.
In 2002 Petra Straue and Stephan Charisius left the project. There followed a one year's pause during which the producers moved into a new and larger studio. In the summer of 2003 the singer Andrea Heininger, and the drummer, Stephan Kübler, an old friend of the two, joined the project and work on Five Arms Red began once more.
Since the end of 2004, Five Arms Red have been touring and performing live at a variety of venues.
Since 2006 they are working on their new album
"the man who lost his radio on the moon" (see Homepage for details).

Hi, Five Arms Red Everything well? :) I’m here cos I’m searching for an eurodance singer, no matter if it’s male or female cos I’m planning a commercial dance track and, as you can guess, a singer in this style of music is essential. I wonder if you’d be interested or know about someone who can be interested, of course :) The other reason why I’m here is that I’m searching for remixers for my new techtrance tune ‘Give It A Try’. It will be released in Super 6 Records (Germany) and LAD Records (Portugal). I’m asking radio stations, listeners, etc for support and feedbacks too. I’m trying to be as brief as I can with this comment but, as you can see, I’m not good at all in this :/ Big big thanks for stopping by and much respect:)
