Five Cases of a Tragedy is a 5 piece pop punk/screamo band hailing from the streets of Washington Heights, New York City. These young musicians have performed a vast amount of concerts all over New York in the past year and a half causing them to have more of a stable and loyal fan base than most other local bands have. Though 5COAT (Five Cases of a Tragedy) struggles to break into the tristate area scene, their style in music is maturing as each day goes by. Bands such as Taking Back Sunday, Vanna, A Day To Remember, Silverstein, AFI, Bayside, Brand New, and many more have heavily influenced 5COAT both lyrically, and musically, to make a decent blend of heavy, poppy, and sincere music material.
Here are some answers to questions we get asked a lot. =]
Q: When is your next show and how do I get there? A: You can find a list of show dates on our page. If you click on the show you'll get all sorts of info on it including the address. For directions just go to www.hopstop.com type in your address, followed by the address of the venue. If you're still lost just send us a message titled "How do I get to your next show" and give us your address and we'll write back ASAP!
Q: How can I get a shirt or any other 5COAT merchandise? A: Come out to our shows! We'll always bring our merch to every show. If not then just contact one of us and we'll work on meeting up. We really apologize to those of you who live millions of miles away and can't come out to see us but we're working on a way to mail them to you via pay pal. So just be patient! We haven't forgotten about you.
Q: When is the EP coming out? A: We're almost done! We're just at a financial crisis at the moment but soon enough we'll be back in the studio and have our EP ready for your enjoyment :] Hopefully it'll be released before May. Help us release it on time by buying our merch and donating money.
Q: Do you respond to my comments or messages? A: Yes! We love keeping in touch with you guys. If it takes us a little while then we apologize. It's just hard getting back to each and everyone of you. But we love you all and we DO get back to just about every comment and message we get. So never think that we're ignoring you. =]
Q: How can I help promote you guys? A: Easy. All you have to do is take the banner off of our page, and put it somewhere on your page for everyone to see. You can post bulletins about us and our shows. You can also tell your friends about us and get as any people as possible to add us on MySpace. The more adds we get the more we're able to promote ourselves and get out there. MySpace is how we're able to reach out to each and everyone of you. So help us out! <3
Q: What's up with a tour? A: We're trying to have a small one before the summer but we will definitely have 2 tours in the summer with bands like Belladonna, Exit She Calls, Vienna Falls, and more! We're aiming to hit areas such as NJ, NYC, LI, YO, Upstate NY, MD, ME, MA, RI, OH, VT, and a more before the end of the year. We're hoping that it will be a huge success but in order for that to happen you've gotta show us that you're willing to come out to our shows when we do visit and that you'll bring your friends and support us. =]
Q: How can we meet you? A: By coming out to our shows of course! And don't be afraid to come up and say hi or give us hugs. We love meeting you guys especially since you're the reason we've progressed as much as we have. You can also add our MySpaces by looking at the Band Members section of our page. Talk to us! Q: New Shirts? A: Yes we know a lot of you guys are getting tired of seeing all the blue at shows lol. We haven't been sleeping on that either. We're coming out with 2-3 new shirts pretty soon. We're also releasing 3 new pins, stickers, a new poster, layout, promotional photos, and who knows! Maybe we'll even have bags! LOL. Just sit tight, we gotchu!

hmm, I'll see, I don't think I'll make it but I'll try. Brooklyn's like out of my limit, I usually stick to shows in manhattan or the bronx, but we'll see. and thanks, we've been going out for 5 months and many more to come. ^_^
