We're a group based in Asheville, N.C., advocating a dramatic solution to a dramatic problem.
Overwork has become an epidemic in America. More vacation time's not the answer, since we're not even using what we're given. (And we're given far less than most other developed countries, by the way.)
We believe the answer is to overhaul our antiquated weekend system (which dates back to the Great Depression) and reverse a decades-long trend of increased work.
