5DriedGrams has grown from a few rough ideas in the back of the mind of vocalist and guitarist Lee warburton into a fully fledged band with a style thats hard to put your finger on.
From the middle of summer 2007 after returning from 5 months of travelling Lee hooked up with cousin and long time guitar associate Steve to start to put into practice some of the ideas they had both collected over the past few years, after producing several songs at home and allowing the world to hear them via Myspace they decided it was time to look for that rarest of creatures..................a rhythm section.
First to be found was Dave, a secret rhythm destroyer who's boom boom beats become stronger with every play. After a few rehearsals without a bass player Scott got intouch to see if we needed a drummer still (as he'd offered to play for us a few months previous but at the time he couldn't get going straight away), as we'd found a drummer he was happy to play bass guitar and from the very first full rehearsal it was apparent that something special was taking place, However some unfortunate timing and a short timescale mean't we had to part ways with bassist scott, an obvious hard decision to make but it had to be made. After much head scratching the penny dropped about a friend and old colleague of steve who was back in town after working away for several months, Having heard the songs we we're writing before he went away he jumped at the chance of playing so Rob was introduced to the ways of 5DriedGms.
So there you have it, all the songs online are still the first home recordings but it wont be long until they are replaced with studio mixes.
