About Five Empty Chambers { CD Release Show Dec 5th }
Deep in the heart of Texas lies a quintet
that has climbed their way through the heart of the South,
and Mid-West gaining recognition as one of the hardest hitting,
and hardest working acts in
"our underground music scene."
Doing it their own way FIVE EMPTY CHAMBERS
has found what works for them
and, they are working "it " over.
Coming together at the end of 2007,
and after completing line up changes in the middle of 2008
founding members Brian Manly, Rion Walker ( guitars )
and Rick Nagler ( drums )
brought in vocalist David Christian Beard ( DC ) ,
and bass player Roger Charo
to seal tight the FIVE EMPTY CHAMBERS conglomerate.
Together, Manly and Walker
produce riffs that make your ears bleed
and, your jaw drop.
The rythm section of Charo, and Nagler
leave flesh shaking on the bone
long after they have unplugged,
and the shards of shredded drumstick remains
have stopped flying at you like bullets.
Putting the fear of God into you is vocalist David Christian Beard
who's roaring of intelligent, heartfelt lyrics,
pierces through the fusion, and explodes.
A breath of fresh air to the "metal scene;"
The slyleistic approach of FIVE EMPTY CHAMBERS
will have a lasting effect on all who appreciate "HEAVY"....

Next up, here's yet another reason to talk about the ongoing greatness happening in DFW's Metal scene. Five Empty Chambers gets the knowing nod this month, and following a powerful gig at Curtain Club a few weeks back they couldn't be any more of an obvious choice. While storming the stage Five Empty Chambers not only managed to burst with some venomously battering tuneage but also carry a notable air of confidence which adds to their vigorous edge. And if a couple of their recordings are anything to go by the guys clearly know how to harness their spiteful throatpeel, sternum-cracking double-kick and gritty, weight-washed guitars around some solid songwritting. Looks like they're scheduled to shake it up again at Curtain on Saturday, July 11. Bring a helmet if you plan on going.
