Five Iron Frenzy was born and bred in Denver, CO from the minds 8 (at the time) young people. Five Iron Frenzy would go on stage and pick up their instruments, hit them for about 30 minutes and then get off the stage. They hit them so well that eventually a nice man named Frank signed them to his record label. He then sent the impressionable youth across the world to hit their instruments in front of millions of people to play for often 70 minutes at a time. Five Iron Frenzy brought much joy and good art to many, many people for 8.5 years. It was at this time when people started turning 30 and 33 that maybe it was time to move on. The band was getting tired and the big labels didn't want any part of Five Iron Frenzy despite their impressive sales and built-in audience. And as a result the band members felt it was time to kill Five Iron Frenzy. Five Iron Frenzy was murdered by the 8 members at the Fillmore, Auditorium in the same town where it was born . . . Denver, CO, on November 23rd 2003.
I don't know if anyone still reads anything anyone posts on here, but you guys have been the most important impact on this band spiritually and musically. You guys never compromised and held true to what you believed. For me that was a huge influence and your guys' music inspired me to write the music I do. Thank you so much for investing those years into making a statement as bold as you did. It really affected us.
-Skamikaze!
P.S. We're all really looking forward to the DVD and hoping it comes out before we go on tour so we can watch it on tour!!!
Oh, WOW! You guys're puttin' out a DVD vidya soon!? Whoooooweee! I sure am excited! W-wait. Oh, wait. What!? F-Five Iron Frenzy!? What the heck's a Five Iron Frenzy? I thought all the hurrang was fer a new Molly Hatchet special er somethin'! DANG!
i'm just a fan who would like to express his deepest thanks to you as well as the rest of the band for all you have done. though FIF has long deceased, it is a constant inspiration and source of encouragement for me. i would not have been able to get through the first year of college if i hadn't had you all to get me through it through the music. though i only found out about you all a year and a half ago, you have become one of my all time favorite bands. if it hadn't been for FIF, my music would also not be half of what it is (being a largely unknown artist, i know it doesn't mean much, but it means a lot to me). thank you for your time and i thank God constantly for what you and your bandmates have done.
I'm so excited for the DVD. I remember first listening to you guys when my older brothers did and thinking it was so awesome. By the time I discovered you guys you had "killed yourselves." But you will live on as long as you music keeps playing and I pray that is a very long time.
Leanor, thank you SO much for commenting me back. You REALLY just made my day, and probably my whole month. I still fall asleep to you guys playing live for The End is Here. I'll check that band out. My brother's gonna be so jealous. *chuckle* Love you guys, Brett.
if you guys have a reunion tour, and don't come to west palm or like ft. lauderdale, I'm gunna cry, heck, ill probably drive to like california to see you guys though if i can lol
