Music"Need Your Love" by Little Willie John is the greatest 2 minutes and 17 seconds in all of recorded music. Everything else is just gravy.
MoviesMob movies. Spy movies. Kevin Smith movies. Tarantino movies. Will Farrell movies. Anything with Christopher Walken, Harvey Keitel, or Bill Murray.
TelevisionRIP Alias. RIP West Wing. RIP Sports Night. RIP Arrested Development. Now: Iron Chef America (but only when Morimoto is on), Penn & Teller Bullshit, My Name Is Earl, The Office (US), The Sopranos, The Simpsons, King Of The Hill, Family Guy, Las Vegas, Scrubs, Boston Legal, The Shield, Gilmore Girls, Monk, The 4400, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and wrestling, Heroes, Studio 60, 30 Rock, Jericho, Numb3rs.    Jason's Blurbs
About me:
I'm fed up and well-fed. I spend most days feeling like my brain is oozing out my ears, which I realize is physiologically impossible, but I've spent the last three decades watching the world deteriorate, pop culture replacing actual culture, and people sitting at the same table at restaurants talking to different people on cell phones. It grinds my gears.

OK, here's a new one on me:
People in Indiana LOVE Styx.

They especially love "Renegade."

Are they replacing Bob Barker? If so, I think you're the obvious successor.

Yes, I have.

In the Odyssey movie I show at school, the voice of Poseidon sounds exactly like Bill Bridges. You'd love it.

Did you ever sing the national anthem at the Artcraft? Not like a solo, but with the dancing ball before the movie?

Missed you at the Bluebird Thursday night. The combination of a relatively sober Bob, a much better band than he's had in years, and an interesting set list made for a splendiferous evening.

As time goes on, the Vincent D'Onofrio picture starts to look more and more like you. So much so that I think of you and not him when I see it.

Jack Palance, dead at 87.

Remember the first time we slow-danced to George Michael's "Father Figure" in our dorm room? OK, seriously...I could fill the whole page, but how about the first time I visited your room in Cline and I realized that you would probably be an important figure in my life...it was the middle of the morning on Saturday and you had a CD with a bunch of different versions of the Looney Tunes theme, which you were playing at top volume while laughing hysterically. This went on for at least half an hour before you said anything. It was beautiful.

It was a cold preXmas Saturday in StL and YOU decided to throat-punch that evil-looking, baby-consuming Santa Claus. I hope you're PROUD of yourself!

I have many virtual memories of you Jason from the listserve world, but most of my in person memories involve SXSW or your Seattle visits. Some fond ones include hanging out with you and some other folks in the parking lot at Jovitas last year ( long neck bottle in hand); Grand Champeen at the Sunset (long neck bottle in hand); and hanging out with you, Marie, and Deb in Merlin's Kitch (long neck bottle in hand).

One of my favorite memories (as it has to do with food)... Omelettes ala Baldwin...some of the best freakin food ever served at saga...I would dare say the best, but I still crave those half-stale chocolate chip cookies. Seeing Baldwin behind the line... you knew it was going to be a good day!
