Five Star Homeless, led by Matt Griffith, has steadily gained popularity on the Canadian prairie roots music scene since the year 2000. Hailing from the heart of their beloved province of Saskatchewan, this Saskatoon band continues to seduce audiences with a unique and original brand of folk music. Their distinct musical style resonates with the traditional sounds of country, bluegrass and rockabilly while never failing to make a connection between the old and the new. While Five Star Homeless takes pride in their instrumental diversity, the band's primary focus is on storytelling. Not of the tales and myths commonly associated with the Saskatchewan prairie, but the stories of the people whose effect on this proud and unique culture has been considerably more subtle and indirect.

Canmore wants both of our bands together for July 11th...I figured that's a lot of travelling for you though considering we don't yet have much between there and the 17th...just keepin you in the loop...joe
Wait till you hear the recording sessions we did last week...very crazy! How are things...I am starting to work on everything again and will be in touch...take care..joe
Things are coming together nicely...I just landed us a night at Ozzy's in Winnipeg plus rooms for Saturday August 26th...I guess the big holes right now are Lethbridge and Regina leading up to that weekend. I am sure we can fill everything up once the weekends are covered...It'll be a sick tour dudes..joe
Shall we get back to work in the next week? I cut my finger all to hell and got stitches and shit in the kitchen last week, wasn't doing much for a while..
I think I'm surrounded by Americans here...all everyone does is complain about the weather. What ever happened to the TOUGH US FUCK CANUCKS?
Hey boys. Do we want to do two nights in Saskatoon? Do you think it would be worthwhile if I got us a Saturday at High and Lonesome Pub in Winnipeg to take the 9 hour drive? It would be a killer stretch, but I don't think it would be worth it to hit Manitoba if we couldn't get one Saturday night there...
...then we can back track and try to play in Brandon and all that on the way back through. Things are starting to come together. I won't be booking much for the rest of the month only cause I gotta finish my business plan and all that horseshit I swore I would always be too radical to consider doing...boy, am I gettin old.
Went mountaineering yesterday west of Nanton, the goddam wind nearly blew me off the peak...wow...cheers..joe
