 | Hi, I'm Mark Landson, the guy who puts together Five Strings List of Cool Things. What's this all about? Well, there are some very cool things that are happening off the beaten path among classical musicians. There is a steady movement among artists to bring a new kind of classical experience to a wider veriety of people. A lot of these things don't fall into any set "category", so consequently, it's really very hard for the public to find out about them! I happen to be one of the musicians doing these things, so of course, it really affects me. :) I hope that I'm able to bring you some new experiences that you wouldn't have found otherwise, and that you'll come out to see these artists when they are playing in your area, and support the music by buying their CDs. This site is supported by NewClassical.org, which is a non-profit I started with the help of other good people to help rejuvenate classical music for all ages.
