Five Ten

About me:

Five Ten was established by big wall solo climbing, hard aiding, first ascenting Charles Cole in 1985. Charles had heard that another company's sticky rubber compound used on climbing shoes and trail shoes was discovered by accident. An engineer with a love for Chess and other games of the mind, Charles immediately found a new goal: use directed research to improve climbing rubber. After all, if someone could do well by accident, think what Five Ten could accomplish if they put their mind to the problem.

The story is not new any longer and anyone who doesn't already know that Stealth is the stickiest climbing rubber in the world is either living in a cave or just plain silly. Five Ten doesn't have a mission statement, but Five Ten does have one goal: make the best footwear possible. All of Five Ten's footwear innovations and designs have been produced with that goal in mind: to do what is best for athletes who use Five Ten shoes.

Looking back through the years there are lots of Five Ten firsts. Usually it was something that was said to be impossible. Five Ten footwear is always inspired by the impossible.
