Space, the universe, and stargazing, (now doesn't that cover it all :) ), ham radio - callsign KC2OPF, scrapbooking, walking, swimming (the few months of the year it's warm enough), watching movies, like to read but don't get the time much anymore...
Music
I love most 80's New Wave and other rock, especially the Fixx, and much of what is termed "classic rock", especially Queen. I also love the solo efforts of my favorite bands' members, including Cy Curnin's new solo album, The Returning Sun!
Click on the pics below to see my albums from the 7/10/08 and 7/12/08 Fixx shows and corresponding trips (the second album is in reverse order, grr...)
I also have a couple pics of the 8/2/08 soundcheck, but as Cy wishes to keep these private, please PM me to see them. Thanks!

Movies
Thrillers, horror movies where the gore actually advances the plot (otherwise they just gross me out), sci-fi, action flicks, dramas. Not as much of a comedy or romance person, though I loved The Terminal. I like M. Night Shyamalan movies.
Television
Lost, ER, The Amazing Race (though I get frustrated with how bad some of the contestants make Americans look)! I was a big Northern Exposure fan while that was on.
Books
Have read a lot of Star Trek and Star Wars books, enjoy medical thrillers by authors like Robin Cook and Michael Palmer, and murder mysteries. When I do go the girly route, I enjoy Irish author Cathy Kelly (my aunt introduced me to her books). One of the most interesting books I've read in the last few years was Boy's Life by Robert McCammon...an interesting mixture of fantasy, murder mystery, and a tale of a boy's childhood. I think it affected me deeply because I invented an elaborate fantasy of my own as a child as escapism.
Also have to put in a plug for One At A Time: A Week In An American Animal Shelter by Diane Leigh and Marilee Geyer. In a society where we not only throw away things we have no use for anymore, but actual lives, this book forces us to face the consequences. Equal parts heartwarming, sobering, and even graphic, you'll sympathize with not only the animals, but those trying to save them against terrible odds. You'll not likely find the book in stores, but visit their website at www.novoiceunheard.org .
Heroes
My friends. Without you, I couldn't and wouldn't want to go on.
Thank you for the comment, Carrie! In actuality, the root canal was not so bad and the pain today is very manageable, and I'm not even on anything! I appreciate your well-wishes. How are things with you?
I was excited to see some oldies on the Fixx's music player! "Liner" was one of my faves.
Hi, Carrie! Just flyin thru space to say hello and hug my friends. Love the new music profile. Too bad we're limited to just ten songs. I'd post ALL Fixx, alongside other favorites.
Going to Vegas in 2 days (Sept 17) for 5 days justs for fun. Not gonna make it for the Fixx, but would love to! A driveable date nearby would be awesome! Hope you're doing well.
WOW, I'm so impressed you are going to have to e-mail me with all the details of the concert, I haven't seen them sense the 80's and yes I'm so jealous!!!! Cindy
Congrats...its a rough road dealing with diabetes... I am just learning about it with Jeff. It is not just an everyday thing, it is a moment to moment thing. I have to admit, I have lear
