The Flamin' Oh's released their latest CD "Long Live the King " in Dec. of 2005.The album was produced by Rich Mattson.
On Oct. 1 of 2006,we won a Minnesota Music Award for "Best Local CD" and on April 28 of 2007 we were inducted into the Minnesota Country Rock Hall of Fame.
We are grateful and honored to have received these awards and would like to thank all the people who have supported us over the years and continue to support us now.
The Flamin' Oh's are fun, full of energy, and come close to killing themselves every time they play.they are not for the weak in the knees or the faint of heart. they are high-octane, in your face powerpop with great riffs and killer hooks done with one hand tied behind their backs. they've also been known to pull off a heartfelt ballad now and again.
oh!!yeah!! and you can also get hold of our tunes at cdbaby and itunes! yeah!! you can!!
In April of 2008 we lost our soundman of 25 years David "Monty" Ward to cancer. He was a great soundman, a great father to his 2 beautiful daughters, and a great friend ,and brother. He was someone who you could always depend on, and always kept a calm ,cool head in the midst of any crisis or challenge. We all loved him very much. And we all miss him very, very much. But he remains with us in spirit whenever we do a show and i think we will rock out just a little bit harder now in honor of his memory, and in tribute to him.
And now the Oh's are very happy to welcome to the fold our new bass player Mr. Jim Riley.Jim used to play with(and still does a show or two every now and again) The Phones.Jim 's a great bass player and has been a good friend for many years.he adds a great positive energy to the band and is funny and just an all around cool guy.please welcome him by giving him big sloppy wet french kisses (right after you've eaten doritos) when you see him at the gigs.or a hug and a pat on the back will do too.
What? No upcoming gigs? Needing to hear I'm The Gun,..I know its been a long time and was so happy to hear you play Everyday and Every Game Has A Name at Daves. Love Always
