Olli Jokinen records his 2nd hat trick of the season and 3rd overall in a 5-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Jokinen's previous hat tricks came November 15, 2006 against Montreal and November 25, 2005 also against Pittsburgh.

Stephen Weiss records his first career NHL hat trick in a 7-3 victory over the Washington Capitals. Weiss' hat trick becomes the 2nd consecutive at home by a Florida Panther.

Great win last night!!!! Maybe now since every team, pro or college sucks in this town, maybe people will notice that the Panthers are in the hunt for real, are looking great, and have a shot to make the postseason. It may be early, but hey, the Cats got a win before the damn Dolphins ever will. Maybe people will start to watch a real team.
Great win for the Panthers yesterday, awesome game. They needed that, and so did the fans. Only a little over 10,000 people showed up? What the hell? Maybe cause they played the Devils twice in one week. Still a higher attendance then the Marlins!
