Flashback is a 1980’s-1990's ;retro-political PSYCHEDELIC band from Malibu, California. They play a mixture of Blues, Rock, and R&B with Psychedelic overtones. The nucleus of the band was Billy Aylesworth (Lead guitar, Vocals), Eden Unger (Bass), Dean Karem (Drums), and Robert Mirabilio (Keyboards, Vocals). Billy was the founder of the group and served as the main songwriter, and front-man. This lineup recorded a 45 [7"] Single “Nuclear Blues/Rock the World”, which was a regional success, and became a “cult hit” in Germany. In later incarnations of the group Eden was replaced by renowned glamrock Bass player Paul Saylor. Matt “Wolf” Chazin joined the band on Percussion in time for their second single “Made a Fool Out of Me”. Flashback was a popular live attraction on the Los Angeles club circuit throughout the 1980’s. They also played a few festivals in the Southern California area. Flashback disbanded in the late 80’s, and splintered into various successful bands. Mirabilio and Chazin went on to form the heavy metal band TYRANNY (JCI/Warner Brothers Records). Unger formed the band LEGAL REIGNS (Arista records) in San Fransisco and was a member of the Bay Area 'grunge' band ENORMOUS (A&M Records). Billy Aylesworth went on to play and/or record with members of Earth, Wind & Fire, The Grass Roots, Cowboy Surfer, Rose Royce, B.T.O., folk hero & activist Frances Plante-Scott (Billy produced and played many of the instruments on her last album ORGANIC PLANTE), Little Feat, Billy Cowsill, and many more. Aylesworth also had great success as a television Writer & Producer in Canada (as Bill Aylesworth). Billy is currently the Owner & CEO of DYNAMIC MEDIA in Topanga, CA, and President of GREAT SCOTT PRESENTATIONS, LLC in Malibu, CA. He is recording his debut solo album for Great Scott Records; Billy has also re-teamed with TYRANNY and Robert Mirabilio for a 2007 Tour. Billy still plays and records as Billy Aylesworth & Flashback.

His background includes working in all facets of the entertainment industry. He was born in Southampton, NY and raised in Malibu. The son of iconic television Writer/Producer JOHN AYLESWORTH (Hee Haw, Sonny & Cher Show, The Judy Garland Show), and grandson of music idol RAY EBERLE (lead vocalist for THE GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA) he grew up in a showbiz family. His step-father was rock & rock impresario LENNY STOGEL who managed THE COWSILLS, REDBONE, and TOMMY JAMES & THE SHONDELLS. Lenny died in an airplane disaster in Chicago in 1979. He was scouting a location to do a follow up concert to his two legendary music festivals CALIFORNIA JAM & CAL JAM 2.

Bill started his career as an actor & musician, fronting many bands and playing or recording with members of Earth Wind & Fire, Bachman Turner Overdrive, The Grass Roots, Tyranny, Billy Cowsill, Frances Plante-Scott, Rose Royce, Cowboy Surfer, Buffalo Springfield Revisited and many more. He attended the prestigious 'Berklee College of Music' in Boston and 'Dick Grove School of Music' in Studio City, CA where he graduated with honors. Bill has appeared in numerous film and television programs as an actor including Max Dugan Returns for 20th Century Fox, and Crack: The Big Lie for the Disney Channel. Bill was also a DJ for KBU 91.9 FM radio [1983-1984] and host of "Surf Rat City News" on CH. 22 FALCON CABLESYSTEMS [1986]. Shifting gears in the late 1980's, Bill took a position at a film distribution and music management company Alive Entertainment. It was there he worked on a team for such luminaries as Alice Cooper, Wes Craven, Luther Vandross and others. Moving on to production Bill took a job at Barris/Guber/Peters Entertainment as a 'Contestant Coordinator' on game shows such as "The Newlywed Game" and the "All New Dating Game". After those shows went off the air, Bill spent two years working at talent/literary agencies (The Gage Group, The Lantz Office). In 1993 Bill moved to Vancouver, BC Canada (he is a dual-citizen). He was offered the job of Manager, Marketing & Distribution for Western Canada's largest TV & Film production/distribution company; Vidatron Entertainment Group, Inc. It was there he flourished and came to head up no less than three divisions including; ('Vidatron Learning Systems'-educational/corporate/training media (and) Northern Lights Releasing- feature films & videos) for this publicly traded concern. After Vidatron acquired 'Image Media, Ltd.' Bill was put in charge of Broadcast Sales for the new subsidiary, and distributed hundreds of shows to domestic/international television & ancillary markets (including "The Prisoner of Zenda, Inc." with William Shatner, "Ronnie & Julie" with Teri Garr, "Island of Whales" with Gregory Peck, "Heartsafe" with Martin Sheen). Bill has also written and produced copious amounts of television programming for the CBC [Canadian Broadcasting Corp.] and 'Knowledge Network' in Canada, as well as series for 'Adelphia Cable' in California. He is the creator of the feature length concert video "New Country Classics: Live" featuring Canadian country music talent and an appearance by the Charlie Daniels Band. Bill moved back to Los Angeles in late 1999 and went to work for "TMW Media Group, Inc." as Director of Sales before leaving to start his own distribution company; Dynamic Media 2002. He has also worked at various times for CBS Television and A.C. Nielson. Bill's gameshow "Mirror Image" is optioned by 'Vin Di Bona Productions' (America's Funniest Home Videos). He also produced and played guitar, bass, keyboards, drums on the album ORGANIC PLANTE {Orchard Records - 2004} for folk-hero Frances Plante-Scott.
