Sounds Like
Well, with being a cover band, we at least partially sound like a ton of bands. Here's some of what we do...
Even though we are a cover band, it can be challenging to classify us. See, we may start out with a classic 80s tune like A-ha's Take on Me, but it's not like you remember. It's more, well, "hell yes" than it was 20 years ago.
Then we might crank out some Coldplay and make you rethink the rockingness of the violin. Then some Journey, some Kings of Leon, some Poison, and some Katy Perry. Right when you think you've got the hang of this, we'll go from Duran Duran to Lady Gaga, then flip right over to Bon Jovi and slap you across the face with some Green Day. Kelly Clarkson, then Social Distortion? One word... YUP. Mraz, The Clash, Neil Diamond & The Killers.
We jump from decade to decade and genre to genre to keep you guessing. We promise you one thing... you will feel a very strong and undeniable compulsion to get off your ass, shake what cha got, and work up a good sweat.
FlashMob! was formed in 2009 by bringing together members of the critically-acclaimed local band Summit Ave and ever-popular group The Subsidies. This merger has created a powerhouse lineup able to produce a live show full of energy, style and passion. By putting their own spin on the latest hits and the time-tested classics, FlashMob! boasts a recognizable songlist that will surprise and energize you.
So, you want in, huh? What you need to concern yourself with is being ready. Ready to rock, ready to roll. Ready to dance and sing with wild abandon. As a Mobster, it is your duty to fight the conformity which is the current live music scene. It is your duty to pounce on the opportunity to escape the average, to quit the boring, to run from complacency and run to the energy that is FlashMob!
Check us out online. Or better yet, make it out to a show and see for yourself. Then contact Jeff, our booking dude, to have FlashMob! crash your venue.

I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time a few days ago. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a new tune called Run Bobby Run:
I saw both your shows in Marquette and it's gotta be said that you guys are probably the most entertaining band I've ever seen live. You guys are totally amazing. Please come back soon!
I am very sad. You play in Rochester when I am not even in the same state! I will be in SD for my brother's graduation. You should work on rescheduling. It just won't be the same if I am not there. ;-) lol
