About me:
Flashpoint Theatre Company is dedicated to expanding cultural arts awareness in the greater Philadelphia area through the production of socially provocative and emotionally resonant works of theatre, through the development of educational programming within the community, and through collaboration with new and emerging voices from all artistic disciplines.
Flashpoint Theatre Company was founded on July 4, 2003, by five graduates from Drew University who decided to move to Philadelphia to pool their collective talents and form a theatre company to produce contemporary and cutting-edge work with fellow emerging artists in the Philadelphia area. After having spent a year shaping the company's mission, choosing appropriate programming, and creating a strategic plan for the company, they incorporated in March 2004 and produced their inaugural production in October of the same year.
