  • General

    Yes, I really do love camping. I could go away for a couple weeks and not miss you at all. I really love to swim, caving (when I lived in Missouri), reading a good book, people watching and catching or photographing deadly creatures. (Which is pretty much most everything in Australia.) If it looks pretty....DONT TOUCH!! Three of the coolest things I have caught are:
    That poison thing that spikes ya when ya pick it up, an echidna and a blue ring octopus. Don't worry, no harm done. I am a kiss, photograph and release hunter. ; )

    Where to start? ... Um ... Depends on my mood... My tastes are quite eclectic and broad, so it is hard to list them all here.

    Green Day, Fallout Boy, Good Charlotte, Pink, Everclear, Tool, Jet, Paul Butler Trio, Paul McCartney, The Presidents, Police, Sting, The Beatles, Snow Patrol, Eskimo Joe, Jack Johnson, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Crowded House and a good dose of some loud classical from time to time. Beethoven is my fav. Who said deaf guys couldn't rock?

  • Movies

    I am a Sci-Fi geek definitely. Star Wars (Empire & Revenge), Raiders & The Last Crusade, LOTR movies, Beetlejuice...Beetlejuice....Beetlejuice, Shawshank Redemption, A Beautiful Mind, The Usual Suspects, Fight Club (but I can't talk about that),Braveheart, Dances With Wolves, Tombstone, Gladiator, 50 First Dates, Serendipity, The Matrix (the original is the best), It's a Wonderful Life, Singing In The Rain.

    I love the old Classics, Suspense/Thrillers, Action, Sci-Fi, the creative filming types like 300, A Scanner Darkly or Sin City and anything that surprises you with an intelligent little twist. I am not a chick flick sort of girl. So don't ask me to go see "The Princess Diaries" K?

    As for Television. Discovery, History, Sci Fi channels, Heroes, Supernatural, but don't watch alot of TV generally.

About me:

This is a map of St. Louis. My old stomping grounds.

My Home Town
I am Flat Cat. aka... Cariann. I was born in St. Louis MO. and came to Brisbane, Australia in 1999. I love Queensland and think it is one of the best places on earth. Where else can you watch the sunrise on the beach, the rainforest in the afternoon and then head off to the city for a bit of night life.

My passions are for photography and the digital arts. I love nature, animals and music/bands, so I find that photographing these things come quite naturally to me. My interests with graphic design are in web, motion graphics and digital art. My design is heavily influenced with my love of Sci-Fi and the surreal artists such as M.C. Escher.
I am currently obtaining a diploma of graphic design to compliment my photographic skills, so you'll be seeing examples of my design work as well as my photography on here.

All images, design and layout have been produced by my alter ego, so please don't use without her permission. Hissss...

    Yes Dracs was really good. Although the group went again the following year and were disappointed the show was not as good.  A bunch of goths turning up at "Draculas" was a great night.  I think the actors/staff were more impressed by us than we were of them. lol
