Long Ago, when guitarist Serena Bass was just 15 years old, the band Flatblack was created. Serena and her dad, Ronny Bass, both loved to play guitar together, and decided to find a drummer to jam with. Little did they know, their neighbor played the drums. So he began to come over and play with them, and they also added Saxophonist Daniel Angers. Soon, they found a singer, but the band would continue to change members throughout time. Finally, the perfect mix of musical masterminds was created- with Charles on guitar and vocals, Ronny on rhythm guitar, Serena on lead guitar, Woody on bass, Doc Roc on Drums, and Daniel on Sax, the band couldn't be happier. The band has played many shows, including venues such as Freebird, the Seawalk Pavilion, Happy Stefano's, and Many more. The band has played with members of Molly Hatchett and has played a show with Leon Russell.
Currently we are working on a new album to be released in early 2009! Keep your eyes open for it!
Flatblack is a band that loves to play music, and party while they do it.

Willie & the Po' Boys will be at one of our favorite venues this coming Friday & Saturday, July 10th & 11th. We return to Spindrifter in Alachua!!!! Awesome that you will be doing originals. I have an original I will be recording at the end of the month . . lyrics by my gun-toting, scotch guzzling, ultra right wing anti-self and best friend . . . I will lay down a scratch track on lead, but you may want to replace it . . .LOL. A paying gig, I might add. It's a 12 bar blues.
