JOE ON FILM
"A Good Life: The Joe Grushecky Story," the documentary on the Pittsburgh Houserocker from Ohio filmmakers Jim Justice and Steve Caniff, will be screened for the first time here on Feb. 21 at SouthSide Works Cinemas.
The film -- which includes interviews with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Steve Cropper (of Booker T and the MGs and Blues Brothers fame) and professional skateboarder/musician Mike Vallely -- won the Best Documentary category at the 2007 Colony Film Festival in Marietta, Ohio.
Tickets are $5 and will be available at the ticket window. It will be followed on Feb. 23 by a performance by Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Hey JJ! Sorry I missed the screening the other night. Had a death in the family the same day... Anyway, I heard nothing but good things about the project. Looking forward to seeing it for myself. Congratulations!
The page looks great. The Twilight DVD was awesome. BTW, please tell me that Bruce clunked your heads together, ala Moe, immediately following that shot.
Thank you VERY much for taking the time to check us out and for being a friend
All the best
