Yo! I've been kicking around this idea of a "gathering." No, this does not involve beer or pizza. No, this does not involve wine or cheese. No, this does not involve strippers ..... or Byrne's wings. So, as of this line, my alkie-friends have stopped reading. And, that's okay...
Here's the details:
Saturday, Dec. 20th Meet at my place at 4 p.m. (The cars will depart at 4:15 p.m.) We'll all ride together up to Penn's campus for a SKATE WITH SANTA at the Class of 1923 Ice Skating Rink (That runs from 5-7) Admission & skate rental: $10 -- & you're on your own for snacks there. Afterwards, we all head back to my place for cookies & hot cocoa ... til 9ish. BRING YOUR CAMERA & cookies to share!
Check out what's really cool about this.... If you have kids, AWESOME - BRING 'EM. It's early enough in the day where you can wear them out & they'll crash, giving you some much-needed "alone time." Plus, it's a fun, wholesome family activity. If you can't skate, that's okay, too... I barely skate myself.
So, if you're interested in joining me for a rockin' good time....just e-mail me.
Thanx for adding me and for all the wonderful work you do in a neighborhood I grew up in and love. I always remember there being a stray kitty or kitties that needed love. It's nice to know they have angels like you.
I take the exams on Nov. 1 & 3. I will get a letter in the mail 2 weeks later, saying if I passed or not. IF I get a letter stating that I passed the test, I will be hosting an impromptu wine & cheese.
Of course, you'd be welcome to come & bring a guest! :)
So, I'll be sending out a last-minute bulletin... inviting everyone on my friends list... exes & all! :)
