Flatline, the rapidly emerging alternative rock trio, from Brisbane, Australia hit the scene in late 2007 headlining the ‘Cage Festival’ on Brisbane’s south side as well as a number of self-promoted shows throughout the state. In December 2007 Flatline headed into the studio to record their debut E.P entitled ‘Nandala Dr.’, which they released in March 2008 to rave reviews and an ever increasing fan base. Throughout 2008 Flatline hit the road to promote their new E.P playing everywhere from local high school shows to headlining various festivals. As the boys experimented with their sound and live show, a mountain of new material inevitably surfaced forcing them back into the studio to record their highly anticipated single, ‘Take me away’. This latest offering has already received wide spread attention and has the potential to take Flatline to the next stage of their career.
Flatlines sound has been described as Jimmy Eat World meets Underoath combining catchy melodies, dynamic drum tracks along with driving bass lines and heavily distorted guitars. Fans can look forward to a fresh and powerful live set with heaps of energy and a captivating atmosphere. With their new material, raw passion and love for fans, 2009 is set to be a massive year for Flatline and their ever increasing ambitions “Above all else we desire to make a difference in the lives of our fans throughout the world providing them with an alternative way of looking at life” says Mat (drums). It’s Flatlines mission to spread a message of hope and love to a hurting generation.

This Saturday (21st November) L.U.S.T. is playing LIVE at Club 299 in Fortitude Valley. It would be awesome to see you there! How's band going? Thanks for the invite to your gig, I'm pretty sure Gabe must have gone in the end. I don't think he ever misses a show. Haha, and he'll have to drag me to a show sometime. Hearing about how awesome they are is really not the same.
And we should do a gig together once we start getting more stuck into band stuff. At the moment Tristan and I are so tied up with Grade 12 and everything that goes with it. But the plan is to make more time once all the madness ends...
