   Flavia Colgan's Blurbs
About me:
How do I pay for my rent? I am an editorial board member of the Philadelphia Daily News and a political commentator for MSNBC. I am also a correspondent for Extra. I interview celebs about politics and their charities. And I am now heading overseas to do a show for Travel Channel called Miracle Quest where I will hunt down miracles and interview those who have experienced them and those that think they are bunk. There is tons more on the show on my site. I am really excited!

I studied religion at Harvard and now I can finally prove to my family that it has some practical use:)

I started my career in Pennsylvania, my home state. I have lived a bunch of places: Michigan, Iowa, the Dominican Republic, Los Angeles (where I still live half the time), but I am a Philly girl through and through. I started out by running several statewide campaigns for Democratic candidates, a job that is great for young folks. You get to learn so much and be tested in so many ways and meet such interesting people.

I was then lucky enough to be appointed chief of staff to Pennsylvania's Lieutenant Governor. At first the thought of moving to Harrisburg did not appeal to me, but I fell in love with it. It was a real honor to be the first woman and youngest ever to serve in the position and I thought of my brothers and sisters and hoped it would make them want to go into public service and know it was not just for old people. I also served as a member of Governor Ed Rendell's senior staff, how has got to be the coolest politician ever, I love that guy! Plus he comments for the Eagles--doesn't get much better than that!

I have been doing TV since I was 21 all because of politics. I started off at Fox News Channel, appearing on shows such as Hannity & Colmes and Fox & Friends. I am currently a commentator for MSNBC and CNBC, appearing on Scarborough Country, the Dennis Miller show (so bummed this got cancelled, it was fun!), Lester Holt Live, The Situation with Tucker Carlson, and Hardball with Chris Mathews. I have interviewed some amazing and interesting folks like Walter Cronkite, Prince Albert of Monaco, and Michael Moore. For Extra I have interviewed Bill Maher, Geena Davis, Jean Smart, Kate Bosworth, Marcia Gay Harden, Daryl Hannah, Larry and Laurie David, Al and Tipper Gore, Hill Harper, and Sharon Stone.

It has been such a fun ride, but this new show Miracle Quest I think will be the best yet. I have never been anywhere in Europe besides England so the traveling alone will be cool, but the subject matter wow! I cannot believe I get paid for this. If you guys want to see my pics or about the other stuff and join our family at Citizen Hunter I would love to have you!

We are pleased to announce the official start of the
The INBEAT Global Life Journey Book.
Your fellow '...INBEAT Citizen...', Ms. LeAnne Maddox(
www.myspace.com/_DaRkgoddess), will serve as the Core Staff Coordinator for this particular Initiative. Members will find Ms. Maddox to be sharp-witted and open-minded... These are positive attributes that she has in common with Ms. Kat Solomon(www.myspace.com/InbeatPoetry), that you have now come to know as the capable Core Staff Coordinator for the INBEAT Global Poetry Initiative. Ms. Maddox is a Teacher, as well as Writer in her own rights, and will serve this Community well in this capacity. Ms. Maddox wants this endeavor to be a free-flowing, dynamic process, and thus, wants Members to feel free to share their thoughts and views on life meaning, cycles, philosophies and etc... She is really looking forward to seeing Members' input and suggestions. The inspiration for the Life journey Book came from seeing all the postings by various INBEAT Members that exposed a level of high talent base, which must not be allowed to go to waste. Thus, we are asking INBEAT Citizens to embellish and submit some of their shared ideas on Life, individually and/or collectively, as to enable us publish volumes that could be sold Globally, as yet another Fund raising mechanism for the Global Humanitarian efforts of INBEAT. Rest assured that some(if not most) of the most reputable Publishing Houses in the World are also INBEAT

Each Book of Poetry shall be themed-based on some of the present Global Challenges, e.g., Environment, Energy Conservation, Health and Wellness, Hunger, Peace/Wars, Family Well-Being matters such as Child/Spousal Abuse, and etc. The proceeds from the books' shall constitute one of the many envisioned mechanisms for establishing and raising an '...INBEAT Global Fund...' ( Those of you that want to know more about the purposes of this '...Fund...' should read past postings, or, contact Kat or E.N.)

Love is to the heart what the summer is to the farmer's year - it brings to harvest all the loveliest flowers of the soul.

To his pure and knightly soul not Edith alone, but every woman, sat high and aloof, enthroned and exalted, with a thousand mystic excellencies and virtues which raised her far above the rude world of man. There was joy in contact with them; and yet there was fear, fear lest his own unworthiness, his untrained tongue or rougher ways should in some way break rudely upon this delicate and tender thing.
