recent to distant past:

Spring 2009- ultra rare, previously rejected track "Cubbybear" surfaces on mpls ltd 10th anniversary 7" along with a track from Biff Bang Pow!!!
Winter 2009 "Homewrecker" appears on the excellent "Open your Mind" compilation from Psilocybin Sounds, alongside a track from the BJM.

Spring 2007- "Checkerboard" included on a UK psych comp called "Turn on Your Mind" from Psilocybin Sounds
Feb 2007- second album recorded with studio legend, KRAMER!!! ...the result of a six day whirlwind of tracking and mixing at Flowers Studio during the coldest week of the winter, this record is spontaneous and wierd, yet somehow more focused than the first.
2006, While fumbling around at home, working on the track "Cubbybear" for the Twin Town High Compilation (track was rejected) the BJM plays Minneapolis and Ricky Maymi flips for our record when the sound engineer plays it between bands. Ricky soon becomes a great friend and advocate!
Summer 2005- debut album "On Plastic" (mplsltd 007) released, capturing the attention of Radio K, it became a 1 album on their charts.
Leading up to 2005- after years of exploration and weirdness, Flavor Crystals added bubbly liquid and jelloed into a real band, recording as a document of the sleepy wobbly blurry dreamscape vibe they found together......

I just wanted to stop by and wish you a happy Sunday! I hope that the weekend brought you fun adventures, relaxation, and contentment :)
I was going to go camping this weekend, but this is definitely NOT camping weather. So me and some friends went to check out Dueling Pianos. Those guys are amazing - they can play just about any song that's been on the radio between 1950 and 2005.
Anyways, I wanted to let you know about a show we have @ Station 4 on Friday, October 16th. We are debuting a series of one time only performance art pieces. This one is called "AN OBJECT TO CRAVE". Live music and visuals based on a short story about life, love, loss, fantasy, obsession and death.
Another group of mine, The Magnetrons, which plays an exciting and innovative Livetronica set (i.e. STS9, Disco Biscuits, The Histronic) will also be playing. The night will be full of creative, interesting, high-energy music, good drinks and good times.
Here's the info:
