I don't watch that much television. When I do it's mostly Cartoon Network. So I don't really have a list of shows to call my favorites.
Books
Just about all of the books written by Frank Herbert, especially the Dune series. All of Clive Cussler's novels. Though he writes books for intermediate readers I love Gary Paulsen books. Of course I can't finish this list without Dr. Seuss. That man is a true genius to me.
Heroes
Nikola Tesla, the master of lightning. One of the worlds true great geniuses. Also one of the most under appreciated, underrated, and undermined scientists of all time.
