.. Who is Francis Loyd Bathory, exactly ? Well, the devil only knows… He is like everybody, I guess, but the contrary may not be true. It is possible or even probable that he is a very antipathic, asocial, grandiloquent and arrogant human being. Some say that it’s only an armour and that he is in fact a very sensitive person. Right, so was Charles Manson ! He was raised by woolves who gave him the name Francis because they loved Fitzgerald’s books. Some rumours pretend he is the real Jack the murderer and that he had an affair with Oscar Wilde on a foggy London sunday. It’s a lie, it was on a tuesday actually. He is a faraway descendant from the bloody serial killer, the hungrian countess Erzebeth Bathory - he also had an affair with her. His friends call him Franz though he has no Franz, sorry, I mean no friends. He has been ennobled by Queen Victoria recently, so you’re allowed to call him Sir. He has killed himself 999 times and has resurrected from the dead 666 times. He does voodoo every new moon and has sold his soul to the devil because he gave him a good price. There are offers you can not refuse, can you ? His favourite writer is the decadent one, Huysmans. He loves english poetry, especially Baudelaire. He was Aleister Crowley in a previous life and will be Joan of Arc in the next, but for the moment he is just an anonymous vampire. But a real one : not a body-builder vampire eating garlic pasta like you can see in recent movies. When he is thirsty and he has no human blood at his disposal he prepares excellents bloody mary. He’s been very influenced by himself musically, though he has managed to develop a really unique and distinctive style. He is scorpio ascendant aquarius, or the contrary, and his mars and his sun are opposite Uranus in his natal chart. He can be quite authoritarian or dictatural sometimes. He will vote Mussolini for the next elections because this government is faggets. But that’s why we love him so much, right ? Or should I say adore, for he is not the kind of guy to accept less. Either you worship him or loathe him. Mediocre feelings toward his gentle person will not be tolerated and indifference will be violently bannished. He is now working on a musical about his cousin Edgar Allan Poe and on a solo concept album called « Songs of Love and Death » wich, oddly, will be songs about love and death (especially about death, needless to say). Don’t you complain, you profound people : the next album will deal with more important topics such as food and gardening. He really hopes you’re going to buy a lot of his records so that he is going to be able to afford crack : so delicious on the cereals the morning, no better way to begin a day ! In order to be fair with him, we are forced to admit that when he is sober, Franz is a very decent person. He really plans to be sober one of these days. You can eventually meet his shadow at the Pop In, a bar in Paris where he enjoys doing catastrophics interpretations of his songs. Unfortunately, ridiculous doesn't kill, it just hurts very badly. He is counting on you to be quiet and to stop breathing during his shows. Don’t you laugh, you naughty people ! He is going to conquer the world pretty soon : he has a plan, but he is holding it backwards for the moment. He also has a credo, well in fact he has two but he has not chosen his favourite yet : « love till death » or « death till love ». He is like M. Jourdain in the Moliere’s play or like the surrealists or like dyslexics people : he likes to change the order of words. He thinks it makes him look witty though it doesn’t mean a thing. Whatever credo he finally chooses in the end, one thing is sure : he definetely has the love of death, that no one can deny ! Long live to Sir Francis, or should I say long death to him ! Bathory : he was there before you, he will be there after...
