Currently I'm sitting listening to Broken Social Scene's - Self Titled album, thinking of the many positive things that have have happened to me the past few years. I'm happy right now and content to be where I am.
I'm writing this to say thank you to everyone, that showed up tonight and has supported me through this time. I'm about to enter hibernation for a little while, meaning I'm going to try to focus on school and lift obscene amount of weight over my head for the next few weeks/months. I also have an opportunity that means I will most likely be leaving this area for the summer.
Don't worry I'm not quitting shows or anything (if anything they will be bigger when I start back up), I'm just finally getting around to evaluating my priorities. The majority of you probably have no idea that I'm a full time student, that does this entire ordeal as a hobby/for my passion of music.
Also, I'm currently in the works of putting together a team of people to possibly run things, while I'm gone. They are people that I trust and you know. They all share a similar passion as myself and are willing to work to help develop this community that we are all apart of.
Which leads me to ask you, what are you doing with your life? What makes you wake up and be proud of what you are doing? Please, find your passion - and chase it to it's fullest potential or that you feel that you can't go any further with it.
It's at that point when you push beyond your limit you will discover there is something greater than yourself. We all eventually reach this peak, it's natural to be afraid to discover yourself and what your really capable of.
Be genuine and stay golden, -Mark (this might be me sleep deprived and rambling)
