Some things don't change. Such constancies that, far from getting fossilized, still manage to be galvanizing, gut-wrenching. It's the case of high-end bourbon. Or of death metal. FLESHDOLL pursues both with great care.

The band comes into being in 2001, in this crucible of rock'n'roll that is Toulouse (France), with the aim of giving birth to both a punchy and catchy breed of death metal. Three years of composition and practice, and the band starts the production of its first album in Winterized studio (Stille Volk, Fornication, etc). The result: [w.o.a.r.g]. As the grunt-like name suggests, it delivers eight tracks of furious, devastating death metal. The album is presented to the public through French label Thundering Records/Manitou Music (E-Force, Evil One, etc) in June 2006.

While [w.o.a.r.g] laudatory reviews accumulate, the band is featured the same year on a few compilations (Holy Thunder vol. 1, Xtreemities vol. 7, French Metal #4, …). FLESHDOLL plays gig after gig, sharing the bill with some of the higher-profile bands in the French scene (Svart Crown, END, Blockheads, Zubrowska, etc) and in December 2006, it's the first death metal band to ever play in Casablanca (Morocco), on top of the bill. It thus succeeds to Kreator and Moonspell to support the emancipation of the moroccan scene.

After a line-up change in 2007, the band focuses on the preproduction and recording of its sophomore album- a more ambitious one, with a more pronounced personnality. After many twists and turns, Animal Factory gets released at the end of the year 2010 through Pervade Productions. It's as favorably received as the band's first opus, and is presented on stage alongside big names like Malevolent Creation or Loudblast. The band parts ways with drummer and takes leave of label in 2011… To set off again, even stronger. It takes many distillations to make the ideal liquor.

FLESHDOLL will record its third album under the care of producer Mobo -Conkrete Studio (Minushuman, Otargos, …)- in Spring 2012, with Samuel Santiago (Gorod) as drummer. Preproduction is in progress, and the first contacts with labels are being made. You've been warned.
