"Flesh" is an underground record label based in Berlin, Germany, that was created especially by Mark Reeder and Corvin Dalek for their self-styled "Wet&Hard" music - a thrilling, open minded alternative, for those looking for something other than mere traditional trance or techno.
It’s name is purposely ambiguous and therefore open to interpretation.
Dance music has always been about expressing sexuality and Wet&Hard successfully feeds the needs of it's growing numbers of fans who span across the globe, from such places as UK, USA, Ireland, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Eastern Europe or China and beyond.
These clubbers have even created their own controversial dance style called "Freaking", whereby they bump n grind together in explicit ways and when a bunch of people get freaky together, can be seen making what has become known as a "freaktrain" on the dancefloor.
"The aim of Wet&Hard is to give new, young artists the chance to be a pioneer and offer a platform and opportunity to develop their own niche genre without being confined to the traditional parameters of electro, techno, trance or house.
Indeed, the roots of Wet&Hard derive from techno, but we see “Techno” more today as being a term which describes the entire spectrum of electronic music, just as “classical” incoroprates all genres of ... classical music.
Naturally, the development of electronic software and the revisiting of retro instruments, fuels the imagination to experiment with retro sounds, but we wanted to present a “new” term, rather than an already previously established fusion of existing terms (as in elecro-clash, tech-house, tech-trance etc) and so give new djs the possibility to create their own sound-style, as well as giving them something to be adventurous with. Its all up to the fantasy of the artist, but in reality, the name Wet&Hard describes their sound of music perfectly".
With Wet&Hard, Flesh want to further expand and explore the boundaries of electronic dance music and bring more fun and eroticism back into clubbing, by stripping away at the conservative values that usually restrict the ability to accept new ideas and thoughts, through erotically driven dance music.
Philosophically, Wet&Hard stands for openness, tolerance, creativity, freedom of thought and the power of every individuals fantasy.
