Generally playing in a smoky basement, Flesh Tuxedo has been around for not too long starting up as a jam band of all of our musical talents. Starting by playing covers like "can't stop" by the chili peppers we practiced until we felt the confidence to really start making a well put together song. Forming songs through jamming and rocking out, and creating lyrics by using what comes to us, like a freestyle, but eventually having order in a song. Same with guitars and bass, really its all put together by the art of jam...

A huge part of our band is who we are influenced by. The things we listen to is what makes us the people we are, being so familiar with this type of music makes a stronger group of musicians because we all have the same interests. Don't get us wrong, we can turn up the volume, we don't only slow jam we can really speed things up and rock out. A classic Flesh song, Ice Cream, is a perfect exampled of a true "in your face rock out" song.

Guitarist Matt Austin rocks it out on a Fender Strat. His tone and style gives us a big edge as a band because catchy riffs and killer effects is what its all about when it comes to guitar. Bassist Jake Shiffllett puts the bass line down on his wickedly crisp, smooth, poppin' ernie ball bass guitar. Pounding of the snare and double kick drum, Bryan Johnson on drums, brings a cool unique style of drum play. Vocals spread from different varieties like soft, fast rhymes, hardcore, and a lot other different styles.

Flesh Tuxedo, originally was a group of rebels who were all best friends that got bored all the time and discovered music as a time waster. Eventually we thought music really was our thing and so we all have goals toward becoming famous in the music industry and to show everyone our music!
