Keirsey Temperament Sorter II Test

Your Temperament is Rational (NT)

Rationals are the problem solving temperament, particularly if the problem has to do with the many complex systems that make up the world around us. Rationals might tackle problems in organic systems such as plants and animals, or in mechanical systems such as railroads and computers, or in social systems such as families and companies and governments. But whatever systems fire their curiosity, Rationals will analyze them to understand how they work, so they can figure out how to make them work better.

In working with problems, Rationals try to find solutions that have application in the real world, but they are even more interested in the abstract concepts involved, the fundamental principles or natural laws that underlie the particular case. And they are completely pragmatic about their ways and means of achieving their ends. Rationals don't care about being politically correct. They are interested in the most efficient solutions possible, and will listen to anyone who has something useful to teach them, while disregarding any authority or customary procedure that wastes time and resources.

Rationals have an insatiable hunger to accomplish their goals and will work tirelessly on any project they have set their mind to. They are rigorously logical and fiercely independent in their thinking--are indeed skeptical of all ideas, even their own--and they believe they can overcome any obstacle with their will power. Often they are seen as cold and distant, but this is really the absorbed concentration they give to whatever problem they're working on. Whether designing a skyscraper or an experiment, developing a theory or a prototype technology, building an aircraft, a corporation, or a strategic alliance, Rationals value intelligence, in themselves and others, and they pride themselves on the ingenuity they bring to their problem solving.

Rationals are very scarce, comprising as little as 5 to 10 percent of the population. But because of their drive to unlock the secrets of nature, and to develop new technologies, they have done much to shape our world.

The Four types of Rationals are:

Architects (INTP) | Masterminds (INTJ) | Inventors (ENTP) | Field Marshals (ENTJ)

Take the test!

After taking this test a couple of times at different times, I still receive an INTJ result. However, this is not apparently my whole type, as I resonate a lot with the ideas and theories regarding the INTP type as well. The world may never know ("how many licks does it take to reach the center of a tootsie roll lollipop?").

The Belief-O-Matic Test

Your Results:

The top score on the list below represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic, in its less than infinite wisdom, thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by this faith, or vice versa.

Belief-O-Matic then lists another 26 faiths in order of how much they have in common with your professed beliefs. The higher a faith appears on this list, the more closely it aligns with your thinking.

Who I'd like to meet:

I can not say that there are any certain people that I would like to meet. Celebrities, sports stars, etc. are mostly false people, and I have little interest in meeting these kinds of people. If you found me, and think my rut of a life is vaguely interesting, or you just want to talk, then I'd like to meet you. :)

Interests

  • General

.. My interests, in what little time I have to pursue them, include (in no particular order): video games (particularly RPGs like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, etc.), playing with my cats, my son, my girlfriend, wood working, religious studies, surfing the internet, blogging, music (NO RAP!, little country), movies (horrors, comedies, and action mostly).
  • Music

I like most music except for rap.
  • Movies

Ok, I did have a number of images in this section, but I took them out because they had a weird link in them and I don't like secret crap like that. So, back to just a little text for the moment. :)

Currently, my movie watching is restricted to things that a 2 year old is able to watch without picking up too many bad habits :) I do enjoy a good horror or action flick when I can catch one. Fantasy, sci-fi, and medieval movies have always had a special place with me. I guess I'm a dreamer :)
  • Television

..About the only thing I have ever really used a TV for is playing games and watching movies. :)

Sometimes I will catch one of the late night shows, like Craig Ferguson or David Letterman, but typically, the TV is showing a movie for the rug rat to listen to (he doesn't usually watch it, just likes to listen to it).
  • Books

..Wow, this could take a while. I don't have much time for reading anymore, but what time I do get I usually spend it on a few select things. Mostly, I read sci-fi novels/shorts, technical manuals (I'm a bit of a geek that way), and various tomes on religion (any religion will do :) ).
  • Heroes

    None.
