About me:
Florida Friends of Midwives is a consumer-based grass-roots organization dedicated to promoting and protecting midwifery in Florida. Our members are families, midwives, students and birth advocates committed to organizing the community to support midwives and to assure the continued availability of midwifery care throughout Florida.

Anyone who endorses our goals:
* To support a woman’s right to make educated choices about her care provider and place of birth,
* To raise public awareness of the benefits, advantages and safety of midwifery care including home or birth center birth,
* To promote professional relationships which facilitate complete and seamless access to care in the childbearing year between all members of the maternity care team,
* To preserve the continued availability of all forms of midwifery care throughout the state, and
* To advocate for legislation which increases, improves and supports access to midwifery care for all Florida families.
