In early 2004 FFD was started by former members of PLAY DEAD, Doug Brem and Jack Simchak, along with Chris Kantin on bass. Shortly thereafter Scott Sweet entered as a second guitarist . While FFD was writing some original material former Play Dead vocalist Jon Brem signed on to complete the lineup.
Floating Face Down's sound comes from a unique mix of influences. The members of the band are fans of everything from Death Metal, to Hardcore, to Punk, and Mainstream Metal. The entire band has a say in all aspects of the songwriting process. FFD strives to outdo themselves with each song they write. They even do some covers,with their own creative spin on them. The main focus is to have fun,and play shows.
Sadly Floating Face Down is no longer together. Someday, they may finish the cd they started...and maybe do another show. For now you can see Doug , Scott , and Jon in the band Put Her In The Trunk.
