I enjoy History, especially Local History! There's something really cool about pictures and stories from this area's past. Love it! I love reading true crime (Ann Rule), biographies, fiction ... anything interesting/compelling/entertaining. Reading helps me fall asleep when my brain won't shut UP! HA! ;o)
Heroes
My husband Ted!! He is the absolute KINDEST person on the face of God's Green earth. He puts up with me and I don't know how he does it cuz I am a pain in the butt sometimes, altho he'd disagree with you. I AM THE LUCKIEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD! HE'S WONDERFUL AND I STRUCK IT RICH WHEN I MET HIM!
My wonderful, beautiful daughter Cheryl is an AMAZING Mother and I'm SO very proud of her! She is my pride and joy along with those grandboys! I'm AMAZED and so PROUD of her everyday! It's hard to believe she turned out to be so smart, so savvy and so very caring considering I was just a child when I had her!

LOVE to sing! Love good live music, especially my husband Ted's guitar pickin' ;o)
Love to spend time with the grandkids, love to bird-watch, take in the local scenery, animals and beauty, enjoy local history!
LOVE to travel! Really enjoy camping with friends, sittin' around the campfire, tellin' tall tales, partyin' and I love to dance dance dance!!!
Grew up in South Seattle when it was VERY RURAL (our neighbors had cows & chickens & I-5 was being built!)
Moved to Skagit County the summer I turned 13 to a 10 acre farm on the Skagit River. Lived mainly in Skagit and Snohomish counties most of my adult live. My husband Ted and I moved to the city in 1998 so I could be closer to my job.
I worked for the Forest Service seasonally for about 10 years & had the priviledge of seeing the beauty of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest when it was still accessible by car. That's how Ted & I met (more on that later..) I also was a bartender, a waitress, a cook's assistant, a bookkeeper and I drove a big-ass truck for a local timber company, you name it!
I decided to get into radio when I hit 30 and most days I'm glad I did! I've always loved radio even as a kid. I started interning at KUBE, went on as a Promo Asst, then sales then on air at all the small market stations in Snohomish & Skagit counties. I've been reporting traffic in the Puget Sound since 1994.
I'm married to the absolute BEST man in the world, Ted! We've been together for 28 years and we do EVERYthing together. I know, sickening, isn't it!? HA!
We've been to Vegas many times ~ love it! clangin' slots, soft felt, 'cocktails? beverages?', nonstop action! Traveled to Florida several times. The best part was cruising down The Overseas Highway in a convertible all the way to Key West ~ man that rocked! We stayed 2 nights at Marrero's Mansion (it's HAUNTED!) and tried to learn the Duval Crawl. I learned to do it so well I couldn't snorkel on our way back to the mainland... oooopuuurrpp
Ted was a log truck driver for many years and is a GREAT guitar picker! We met while working in the woods; me for the Forest Service and he driving Log Truck for "G & D Trucking" out of Darrington. We were both in local bands and we just "clicked". We love good live music! He plays kick ass guitar in The Buckaroo Blues Band and they play regularly at The Little Red Hen in Green Lake, North Seattle.
We're native Western Washingtonians; into music, camping, traveling and partying. Our wonderful kids gave us the cutest and smartest lil' grandkids ever! It's true, grandkids should be had FIRST! :o)
Who I'd like to meet: WOW!!!! I got to meet Captain SIG HANSEN from THE DEADLIEST CATCH during SEAFAIR 2008 thanx to TOAD & RANDY!! He gave me a BIG OL' HUG!! meow ;o)
I'd love to meet DWAYNE DETLEFS from the TV show "AXE MEN" ~ have a shot or two, listen to his stories & hilarious wisdoms! He reminds me of the good ol' days of loggin' in Skagit, Whatcom & Snohomish Counties when Ted drove log truck & I worked for the enemy,.. er,.. I mean the US Forest Service HA! Mountain Men YEAH BABY!!
HUGH the Polar Bear from ICE ROAD TRUCKERS! grrrr talk about a big ol' bear!
I've always wanted to meet Dave Reichert and I did! I had the privilege of saying hello to Congressman Reichert & having my picture taken with him in July 2008 ~ wow what a great thrill! OH and he is SO handsome!
You are the best friend a girl could have! You make every weekend the best one yet! Just when I think I couldn't handle anymore laughing, we start again! Love you more than words can say!
