check out some of her music here. she is an incredible drummer (and so are all the cavemen), as well as a beautiful person. you won't regret it.

i have an arch-nemesis: Dr. Miaoux

and here is my youtube channel, which has videos of some of my work, as well as some generally wise and beautiful words from Gust, the Faery King.

in the fall of 2006, i made a short film. finally there is a direct link...
*czech it out*.
this was through CampusMovieFest and the theme for the year was "five" because it was their fifth year, so try to keep that in mind.
[[disclaimer]] film contains strong language and opinions and should not be viewed by anyone who is not mature enough to deal with said experiences. thank you.

say hi to theMark, meet her, shake her hand...

i was their drummer from October 2005 to hiatus in July 2006 and am playing on the recordings of The Dreaded Rake of the BooseMeaver and Giant Fish in Bear Suits, which are in the final stages of being mixed and mastered by adam arrigo, but the unfinished tracks are up for you to hear at your leisure. Paul Farris, our singer, was tragically taken from this life in a car accident recently. the depth and beauty of his lyrics are matched by few i have ever encountered. Paul, you will always have a place in my mind and heart. i hope our travels bring us together in another time to rock some other dimension. love to you and Kate and your families and friends. rest in peace, brother.

electronic musical instrument design class: click on the MARTHA (MIDI-Activating Rhythm-Transforming Hemispheric Apparatus) project. I basically did the fabrication, seth goldenberg did the programming, and sounds were sampled from my record collection and edited by Matt Kay.
© Tufts fall 2006.

experimental music class: click on "Fall 05" on the left and then "Concert: Composition Projects" - waves without water was electronics based but featured some metal pipes, a fan/paper, and a bicycle wheel, along with some help from ted, alex, and colin. the duo i was in was based on a graphical score i wrote wherein the movement and texture of two separate lines on the page represented the respective instruments. a volunteer from the audience played the djembe while i played a flute/oboe thing i made out of a metal pipe i found in the garbage.

CURRENT MOON

Who I'd like to meet:
anyone who wants to challenge me to make something interesting out of a pile of junk, people that think saying "god bless america" is one of the most ignorant, self-centered things we can do as evolved humans, anyone that wants to make homebrew induction generators to charge deep-cycle batteries, people that dont depend on coffee to get through the day (and despise the implication that america cannot survive without dunkin donuts), anyone who is willing to actively avoid a military draft, people interested in sustainability, people that manifest peace, anyone that wants to build self-destructing kinetic sculptures, people who dont support the war or the corrupt politicians in the government, anyone who realizes how wasteful grocery stores are, people who pick up litter for "no apparent reason", people who drive cars that dont use gasoline, animals that can talk (in words), anyone who doesnt mind eating from the "garbage", anyone who thinks "garbage" should always be in quotes, veterans that want to speak out against the war, people that squeeze their toothpaste from the bottom of the tube, someone that is making functional Human-Powered Vehicles (HPVs), people who dont believe in using guns, anyone who wants to take a productive motorcycle ride, people who dont use their fucking air conditioner when its 70 degrees outside, someone who knows how much fruit is thrown out by juice companies, people that dont use microwave ovens for the same reason they dont put a cell phone up to their head, people that dont hook up their automatic transmission, front wheel drive cars so they can pretend they are a race car driver, anyone that truly values things like food, water, and paper, people that dont use the word "gay" as a derogatory term, someone who knows how to play R.A.D. for PS2, people that have composting toilets, anyone that knows the "good idea, bad idea" segments from animaniacs verbatim, people that dont smoke cigarettes because they dont want to support the most consumer product ever (besides gasoline), its corporations, and the insane amount of toxic pollution it causes to the world and the people we love. if you enjoy fresh air, hopefully that means you. if you really, really have to, at least roll your own and put the butts in the fucking garbage. its not a difficult concept.

Hello. We here at Things inc. were just dropping by to give you a friendly reminder that your nearly out of things. The good news is this week only.....we've got lots of things, and for practically nothing at all! You ever sit around wondering..........
Well wonder no more because we've got the answer to the question that you've never asked! THINGS!!!

HAhahaahhaa. While recent developmenst in stuff has led to a greater understanding of the classifacation of things and there place in the universe, the age old paranoid delusion of stuff and people who desperately seek it has been yet to be answered. Why..........? Why stuff...........? Why now.........? I'm often perplexed at such contemplation so I did some research and if I find myself some thingys, I won't need to be surrounded by stuff. There is a direct link to stuff and the stuffiness that it causes, and I for one won't have any part of it. Hmmmmmmmmf!

You, Sir, are my knight,
My rising star,
Rubies ablaze,
In a sea of dim cracked posers.
A friend without equaL,
The rarest of gems,
Most perfect of orchids.
This love I hold for you,
It is no other's conquest,
The prize belongs to you,
As my heart you have conquered,
Remains enshrined in a spirit of bliss.
