About me:
We are reminded of the story of DEMETER(Mother GODDESS Earth) in search of PERSEPHONE(KORE)her daughter. Persephone was stolen by HADES and became QUEEN of the UNDERWORLD. Accordingly, WINTER overtook “The EARTH’ as DEMETER was overcome with DESPAIR at the Loss of her Daughter. In time , DEMETER was helped by HECATE who showed her where her daughter was. DEMETER struck a deal with that SOMBER LORD of SHADES and He agreed to let Persephone return to the surface for a few months, to visit DEMETER. SPRINGTIME was the GIFT that was given by Persephone’s joyful return!
And so it is still today! Springtime is when we see again the unfolding of LIFE upon our Blessed and SACRED Mother Earth.
FLORALIA began in ROME and spread over the ancient world . The original festival started around April 27 and lasted through the first weeks of May. Today we still celebrate this JOYOUS occasion all over the world as MAY DAYand Mothers Day. We send FLOWERS to show our LOVE and ENJOY the Healing Essences that those subtle scents bestow.

Cuddly kitten, stoned & burned, dies in 'atrocious act of cruelty'

Even after a 6-week-old kitten was pelted with stones and set on fire in a Chester alley Saturday afternoon, it didn't lash out. The brown tabby greeted Dave Schlott, a Delaware County animal control officer, by climbing up his shirt and snuggling against his neck. "It was cuddling, so I thought I'd name it Cuddles," Schlott said.
