Influences
I have been influenced by all the music that has moved me in my life, beginning with my
father's country music of Hank Willliams, the Outlaws, Willie & Waylon, Bob Wills, Guy Clark
and other greats. I love Joni Mitchell and have been known to rock out to AC/DC in my car.
Other favorites are Van Morrison, Gram Parsons, Joan Armatrading, Patti Griffin, Cowboy,
Allman Brothers, Bob Dylan and Subdudes, to name a few. I always love to hear new music!
Combining sultry power with gentle grit, Floramay Holliday deftly blends the essence of old-school country with a contemporary brand of alternative style. Floramay delivers her songs with a soulful Southern voice and plays the guitar with an energy that rolls just as much as it rocks.
She has also co-created the wildly popular Austin-based rock group, Sis DeVille - with renowned singer/songwriter, Shelley King. Sis DeVille is an all-girl southern rock band featuring stunning three-part harmony and finely crafted pop songs with a Texas attitude.
