Flor de Caña means Sweet Sugar Cane Flower, a symbol of life, love, and all that the Carribean has to offer. We play high energy dance music, with our own take on Cuban Son, a precursor of modern "salsa." The musicians from the Buena Vista Social Club album are a major influence of ours. Our impressive rhythm section, comprised of upright bass, guitar, cuban tres, congas, bongo, timbales, maracas, guiro and bell is sure to get you moving. Add to that mix a solo trumpet, lead vocal, and 4 backup vocals, and you have a sound that will provide the salsa dancing crowd and all dancers with some infectious rhythms to move and groove to. With sweet vocals and spicy solos, there is a lot to appreciate for those who want to see, hear, and experience vibrant latin music.
