Florian is an accomplished Australian-based flamenco guitarist who has studied and performed with Australian and international artists for many years. He currently performs as a principal guitarist with Australian flamenco company ‘Studio Flamenco’, described as ‘…some of Australia’s most accomplished and innovative Flamenco artists… whose enthusiasm for Flamenco is contagious…. (The Program online Arts magazine, Australia Council for the Arts).
Renowned for his soulful and authentic interpretation of flamenco guitar, Florian has featured in his own critically acclaimed "Una Noche De Flamenco" and countless theatre productions and festivals, including WOMADelaide (Adelaide Festival of the Arts 2006) and the Adelaide International Guitar Festival 2007, the first of its kind in the Southern hemisphere. He has also performed with Australian companies, Areti flamenco and Velada Flamenco (Adelaide Fringe 2007). Florian has studied with many Australian and international guitarists, a highlight being his time with David Cerreduela (Ballet Nacional De ESPAÑA and Antonio Canales dance company). He continues to work closely with dancers and musicians as accompanist, soloist and as a co-artistic and musical director in Studio Flamenco.
One of a few of Australia’s celebrated flamenco guitarists, Florian’s unrelenting passion for, and dedication to flamenco has seen this guitarist share stage and audiences with internationally renowned guitarists such as Eliot Fisk and Juan Martin.
