    Florian Hierdeis.., born april 13, 1977 in Augsburg (Germany) has been playing the guitar since he was ten years old. At the age of 18, he got in contact with Django Reinhardt's music and fell in love with jazz... He studied jazz-guitar at the "Conservatorium van Amsterdam". His main subject teachers were: Maarten van der Grinten, Jesse van Ruller and Martijn van Iterson among others. During his study at the CvA, he attended master classes with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Nelson Faria, Pat Martino, Mike Stern and many more... Since 2000 Florian Hierdeis has been actively involved in the Amsterdam music scene. He compose and plays in the Netherlands as well as abroad with a variety of different formations. He teaches jazzguitar at the DJAM in Amsterdam and at the private music-school Meer Music in Hoofddorp. Some projects: DUO DUO, Maiwald/Hierdeis Duo, HibraSuma, Brattinga & Hierdeis and Vibes and Strings.
