FloridaBarrelHorses.com (FBH) was started in 2003 by LeAnne Mckendree, a life time horse owner and barrel racing participant. The website was started out of frustration in trying to find local events and internet websites that listed just Florida Barrel Horses for sale. "You could go to the "big sites" that provided information for every state but you could not find detailed information about any one particular state." It was an obvious reason to start FloridaBarrelHorses.com, a website that focuses on the people, event information, rodeo locations, horses for sale and just general information about barrel racing in Florida.
As the website began to grow, FBH also started offering products for sale. FloridaBarrelHorses.com felt that there was a need for quality products used by performance trainers. Many quality, performance products can only be found at the big shows and futurities. So, FBH set out to become a dealer of those custom made products that are widely used in the barrel racing and performance arena's and are not easy to order online.
In 2007 FloridaBarrelHorses.com started a Tour Series in Florida that focuses on providing events for barrel racers in Florida. Florida is a hard state to try and campaign a horse, It takes forever just to drive through FL to get to any other state where the BIG shows are going on. Therefore a lot of Floridians miss out on the big added money and the nationwide exposure that comes along with winning big. The Tour of Champions was set up with the hopes of bringing better added money and exposure to the Florida barrel racers and their horses. There are four, two-day tours schedule around the state of Florida and a finals. Members receive points that qualify them for the finals.
