Award-winning
Florida Stage is the largest theatre in Florida dedicated to the production of new and developing works. Each year, we produce the world, American, or regional premieres of the freshest, most thought-provoking plays and small-cast musicals. Post performance talkbacks with the actors and a regularly published literary piece, Stages, explore the themes and creation processes of these plays even further. A playreading series gives playwrights the opportunity to gain feedback from an audience on their developing scripts. And a full roster of education programs brings live theatre performances, a Young Playwrights Festival, a Student Monologue Festival, and writing workshops to thousands of schoolchildren each year. For 23 seasons, Florida Stage has brought professional theatre of the highest quality to its South Florida audiences.

Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone interested in seeing the hottest new work in American theatre.
UCF Conservatory Theatre starts its season this Thursday with Jake's Women by Neil Simon.
Directed by Earl Weaver
Neil Simon, America's premier comic playwright, tells the story of Jake, a novelist who is more successful with fiction than with real life. Facing a crisis in his marriage, he daydreams about the women in his past and present, controlling their actions, their words and even their clothes. Each of the women offers advice, comfort, and frustration which is alternately funny and moving. Ultimately Jake must decide if he will continue to live in the past or if he is ready to deal with reality.

This collection reveals the lost dreams and hope renewed. From houses of worship, across the corners of the adult industry, through the eclectic nightlife, the lives of those who populate the area bring forth a new view of paradise.
