I'm based on years of traveling in my author's favorite places in Provence and the Cote d'Azur. I've been to Marseille (my favorite French city!) and Aix, Avignon and St. Remy, Arles, Beaucaire and Les Saintes Maries de la Mer -- and dozens and dozens more. I've been skiing in the Alpes Maritime and gone cliff climbing not far from the Pont du Gard. Along the way, I've stopped at wonderful hotels and B&Bs, dined at charming restaurants, elegant gourmet restaurants and the best pizza places and cheap eats in the South of France.
I've got loads of colorful pictures, plenty of insider tips, and more first hand information about culture, history, festivals, museums, Roman and prehistoric ruins and shopping than you'll find in most other popular guides.
And don't forget, I'm an adventure guide -- so I can tell you everything you need to know about adventures as gentle as hiking along beaches or cycling through vineyards and as challenging as abseiling, cliff climbing, potholing and hang gliding in the most beautiful parts of the world.
Who I'd like to meet: People of all ages who love the great outdoors with a bit of luxury thrown in. I'm for adventurers who like to end most days with a comfy bed, a great French meal and a good bottle of wine. My friends are people who'd rather be travelers than tourists, and who enjoy gentle to moderate adventure sports with all the good things in life thrown in.
