    Good morning sunshine!

As always, I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!...;)

    Much love....

    People often say this person

    or that person

has not yet found them self,

but the self is not something one finds,

    it is something one creates.

    It means that you've decided

I am hoping that you can give me some input on an article I just wrote about oil prices for my blog on StockValues.Org

    Here is a brief summary:

When I last wrote about oil on Saturday, Dec 20, 2008, I was lucky enough to precisely pick the bottom of the West Texas Intermediate. (According to DOE data, Texas light sweet crude hit its daily five year low of $30.28 the following Tuesday.) Back then, an ounce of gold would buy you 21.3 barrels of oil, over 25% more than the 25 year average of 16.8 barrels. Currently, we are at 13.5 barrels of oil per ounce, which is almost 20% less than average. Given the deflationary economic environment and newly overheated stock market, I would rather bet on oil taking a tumble than gold prices catching up. Especially because other commodity prices confirm this line of thinking.

Harry Brown's Farm will sell beautiful, rare and unusual vegetables, herbs and flowers for your table through
www.WesternMaineMarket.com this growing season.

Harry has been farming and feeding people from this land since 1978. We have been MOFGA certified organic since 2004.

Our garden season starts with fresh dug Parsnips in April. Garlic is our largest crop. We have over 6,000 bulbs of Chesnok Red, Music Pink and Persian Fire garlic growing right now. Our nettle has won the coveted Judges Award at Common Ground Country Fair. We offer dried, screened and packaged nettle in ready -to-use 1 oz. packages. We also harvest fresh nettle for you to make your own medicines.

We bring our green garden hearts to you with gratitude, with love and with joy.

In addition to selling MOFGA certified organic vegetables, herbs and flowers, Harry Brown's Farm is also known through out New England as a counter-culture gathering site.

Since 1991, thousands of city folk have come to our farm for an unique Maine organic hippie farm experience.

The farm is opened for Camping, Music, Good Kind Hippie Food, Art and Radical Politics in June, August and October. From helping Harry hay the fields to eating organic farm food at our Flower Power Cafe; from Sunflower Garden Tours and waking up to the crowing of a rooster--Harry Brown's Farm has shared the life of free people in free country with those ready to make the journey.

Your number one up-to-the-minute resource for Maine's Marijuana Policy Reform
HARRY'S HARVEST BALL IS JUST ONE WEEK AWAY -- AND TICKETS ARE SELLING ..FAST!..

Out of respect for Harry's neighbor's we're limiting the number of tickets to the Harvest Ball, and we've already sold a lot of them. The best way to make sure you don't miss out is to go tohttp://www.harryshill.com and buy your tickets ..NOW!..

The festival will be a benefit for the Maine Medical Marijuana Intitiative and Maine Citizens for Patients' Rights and their "YES on 5" campaign to pass a ballot initiative that would provide qualified patients with safe and reliable access to marijuana to relieve the symptoms of chronic and debilitating diseases like AIDS, cancer, and multiple sclerosis.

What is Harry's Harvest Ball? You're telling me you haven't heard about Harry's legendary harvest ball? Well . . .

Imagine a hill on an organic farm in western Maine on a crisp autumn day echoing with the haunting music of the Middle East, fierce African rhythms, the high lonesome sound of bluegrass, horn sections, reggae beats, and . . . is that a bunch of pirates up there singing sea chanties???

Imagine the field in front of the stage filled with fire twirlers and jugglers and stilt walkers and hula hoopers and belly dancers and giant puppets. Off to the side herbalists and dancers and puppeteers are teaching workshops, artists are creating paintings and sculptures, and kids are finding all kinds of funky, creative fun of their own. Then late at night the freaks come out for a masquerade ball.

All of this will become a reality at Harry's Harvest Ball on Harry Brown's Farm in Starks, ME, October 2-4.

Performers include:
  • Jerks of Grass -- With one foot in tradition and the other in progressive roots music, the Portland-based band has attracted a large fan base and critical acclaim for their own brand of bluegrass music. The band prides itself on on tight arrangements, stellar musicianship, and an ability to delight even the most suspicious of audiences. The have been voted Portland's best roots/acoustic act seven times.
  • Annie Lynch and the Beekepers -- Hauntingly beautiful vocals, exquisite melodies, a deep resonant cello, and that high lonesome bluegrass sound combine to create acoustic magic on the hill.
  • Lazzlo -- Lazzlo is an eclectic mix of Americana, funk, blues, bluegrass, and tinges of country. Wherever Lazzlo goes a party is sure to be close behind. When this group of musicians get together its always a celebration of life and truth. There is no greater feeling than when many hearts come together to proclaim one sound or make one voice.
  • The Brew -- The Brew, an innovative quartet that has developed a large and devoted following with their infectious grooves rooted in classic rock and seasoned with prog, jazz, reggae, world beat, indie, funk and orchestral pop influences.
  • Mystic Vibes -- Maine's best original roots reggae. Dequhn Lobutua expresses his original lyrics with a passion gained through a life based in the spirituality of Rastafari backed by a tight and well balanced band.
  • Okbari -- Okbari performs Ottoman classical and Turkish contemporary art music along with works from the Armenian and Anatolian folk traditions. Okbari also presents Arabic folk and classical music as well traditional songs from Greece and the Balkans. Okbari has released five albums since they formed in 1995, and play widely throughout the Northeast.
  • Bearquarium -- Deep percussive grooves, piercing organ, heavy horn lines, and soul inspired vocals, come together to create a dangerously funky sound guaraneed to make you move!
  • Zili Misik -- Zili Misik has been bridging cultures, generations, and continents for seven years. With captivating sounds that evoke the African continent, Zili retraces routes of forced exile and cultural resistance through rhythm and song.
  • Black Bear Moon -- Black Bear Moon brings the infectious rhythms of traditional West African music to New England. Having studied with masters in Guinea and Ghana, West Africa, the Ensemble skillfully works instruments like the djembe, sangban, dununba, and kenkeni drums, as well as the African flute (also known as the Fula flute), the aslatua (a cool little percussion instrument from Ghana), the krin (log drum), and more!

as well as One World Puppetry, Raising the Sun, Gong the Planet, Da Butcha Shoppe, Buddzila, Trash into Art, Dead Man's Hand, STARMA Circus, Lazzlo, Bare Foot Truth, Jordan Kaulbach, the Stoned Mountain Boyz, Bootiddy, The Grasshopper Collective, Chill Breeze, the Scallywags, the Green Man Medicine Show, Resistdance, the Boston Hoop Troop, Neveah Dance Group, Macrotones, Patrick Jameson Co., and more!

With the exception of licensed service animals, absolutely no dogs will be allowed at the festival.

But, if you aren't a dog, this is one place where you are free to be exactly who you are!

So buy your tickets today athttp://www.harryshill.com

And then come home to the Hill on October 2 -- and don't forget to bring your costumes for the pirate party and the masquerade ball!
