From the ashes of 'Missing Children' comes 'This Too Shall Pass', a project continuing our examination of the loss of self that occurs during the making of live musick. Using the surreal, the esoteric and the power of ritual we make our soundscapes with both classical and unorthodox methods. We create for our own sakes alone - the process always comes first; results are then manipulated and used where at all possible and discarded if not.
'This Too Shall Pass' were shocked and pleasantly surprised to find that some are not only able to tolerate our racket but are actually able to share in the flux we create and join in with our release. Gigging is a rare but usually powerful performance with collaborative work with chaos magicians, tribal drummers and the assorted misfits that find themselves within our sphere.
There have been two albums by 'This Too Shall Pass'; an eponymous debut in 2003 and the follow-up in 2004 called 'The Greatest Secret of The State is The Misery of Everyday Existence'. We have also done soundtrack work for films including the British independent release 'Monster'.
After an 18 month hiatus, 'This Too Shall Pass' expect to be creating again before the end of the year.
.. .. Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that Traummaschine, with the "action painter" Alberto Castelló, this weekend will be playing in London, and they will have a special guest: Geoff Leigh.
