The Seedling Escape artists are Ooah and Kitty-D who hail from San Francisco and Los Angeles respectively. The two both began as DJs, and having mastered the art of turntablism, moved to production in 2003. Ooah and Kitty-D began collaborating as The Seedling Escape in 2006, having toured all over the Western part of North America: SF, LA, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, Nelson BC, Austin, Mexico, and Hawaii and most points in between.
Ooah the Mob Boss and Kitty-D the Chieftain hold membership in the strange and venerable Glitch Mob.
Fake Science is home to their first two releases, while Interchill Records is set to release the song Lelly on a compilation in 2007.
In advance of their debut album release, The Seedling Escape present this mix of their original compositions with appearances from Random Rab, LayerZ (aka Audiovoid), and Epcot. Photosynthesis is designed like the mixtapes of the 80’s & 90’s – a showcase of diverse music in a continuous flow designed to keep you moving at home on the hi-fi, or in the car on the way to the next party.
Photosynthesis is wholly comprised of original compositions written, performed, mixed and produced by The Seedling Escape with contributions from Random Rab, LayerZ (Audiovoid), and Epcot.
