About Floyd Soul And The Wolf

Floyd Soul & The Wolf play rock and roll stripped back to the basics. They’ve got stomping bass lines, and harmonies that hit you like a cannonball- not to mention a front man that can mesmerize a crowd with equal parts arrogance and charm.

Since winning the National Student Music Awards in 2008 the band have released two successful singles and toured the length and breadth of the country,playing to many capacity crowds.

The band are currently preparing to record their long awaited debut album in Nashville Tennessee where the likes of Kings of Leon,Neil Young and Johnny Cash have recorded some of their best work and they're confident that the inspirational setting will help produce something very special..

At the helm of this is Thomm Jutz who will be producing the record for the them. He is also producer and guitarist for country star Nanci Griffith and tours the world playing the guitar with her.

Furthermore, about their live shows Hotpress Magazine say: “Floyd Soul & The Wolf play as if all our very lives depended on it, and when was the last time you could say that about any Irish band?"

So be sure to catch them in your neck of the woods soon.

"Absinthe" has a great rhythmatic and punchy pace with a very catchy guitar and quirky percussion - and your vocals are cool. "Bottle of Booze" has a stride and tone with plenty of change and movement - a sweet dpwn tone and groove feel and I love the subtle banjo off the right. "Give It A Chance" cruises along like a melodic ZZ Top number and a great song to feel the wind through my (your) hair. "Life In Time" is sublime with an echos of Neil Young, Dylan and Wishbone Ash but the sound is most definatly 'Floyd Soul And The Wolf'. What can I say? I thoroughly enjoy your songs and I wish you all the finest and success both in life and all your musical endeavour’s, Michael.
